Insights from ‘Mapping Designscapes’

Trainers: Aldo de Moor from CommunitySense

Aldo de Moor of CommunitySense, participated in the DESIGNSCAPES 2nd Open Call for Prototypes with the initiative Mapping DESIGNSCAPES, and worked in close collaboration with other initiatives recipients of the same call (The Landmarks Net, SciberCity, and CityBarge) to develop a methodology that would help to share their vision of the design lessons learned through their projects, and collectively making sense of them. To do this, Aldo created (1) a conceptual model of the collaboration ecosystems around design-enabled innovations that help to position, contextualize, and connect DESIGNSCAPES’ urban prototypes; (2) a visual knowledge base that represents the actual common ground between the selected initiatives; and (3) an interactive “lessons learned” demonstrator aimed at a wider audience.

In this webinar, Aldo presents his findings and discusses them with the other members of the DESIGNSCAPES community to apply them in future work.

The training entails an initial presentation followed by a plenary Q&A with innovators from the initiatives selected within the DESIGNSCAPES program.
