The DESIGNSCAPES project has produced as main output four open access documents: the Book, the Whitepaper, the Toolbox and the Handbook.

Innovation Capacity and the City: The Enabling Role of Design

This book, result of a joint effort of the whole Designscapes consortium, overviews the concept of Design Enabled Innovation in urban environments.

White Paper on Design enabled Innovation in Europe

This White Paper proposes a next generation of EU design innovation policies with a focus on the shift from traditional design-driven innovation to Design enabled Innovation (DeI), with a view to harnessing the full potential of design to trigger systemic change in a broader socio-technical level to address pressing global challenges today.

Designscapes Toolbox

The DESIGNSCAPES Toolbox is a collection of methods and tools that you can easily and rapidly use and apply to various innovation processes.
We hope that this toolbox can support you and your project. We plan to create and distribute further versions of the DESIGNSCAPES Toolbox. If you have ideas, comments or feedback, please get in touch with us!

Designscapes Handbook

This handbook introduces the main challenges, opportunities and policy recommendations for Design enabled Innovation in cities across Europe. It has been developed based on the main outputs of the DESIGNSCAPES project.
